Ok, Melina..don't panic. Just because you received the monthly email reminder from theknot.com titled 6 MONTHS TO GO first thing this morning, does not mean you should be in panic mode. Calm down. Deep breaths. I am ready to open the email and read my "to do list" and see how far behind I am on the checklist compared to other brides nationwide. But to my surprise, everything on this month's list has been accomplished. pheew.
Order invitations. check!
Find the perfect shoes. CHECK! (thank you Mr. Louboutin. I heart you)
Find your something old(check), new(check), borrowed (need to do this...anyone have something beautiful I could borrow???) blue (check!!!!!!)
Ok. that was not that bad. I survived. oh wait. But I still have things to check off from prior months...uhh oh.
Melina, why have you not gone with your bridesmaids and ordered the dresses already? oh right, because I am getting them made with Selena and she thinks I am crazy to have them done so soon. I forget, she is spanish, which means we wait till the last minute to do EVERYTHING. I will call her today and give her a deadline. yes. I will be stern. I will tell her that they must be made by Thanksgiving weekend or atleast ready for the fitting to be then, because we changed our minds and our wedding is now in December. yes. that's what I will tell her. she will rush then. (sorry heavenly Father, I know I should not lie, especially to Selena, but I wouldn't consider this a LIE, more like a leeeeetle fib, please forgive me. yes. ok. I will tell her wedding is in December, and then after she is done with the bridesmaids dresses tell her we changed our minds again to February. YES. perfect. that is what I will do. thank you. amen.)
