This will be short, as I am still a little wary of the new internet gods of the bank, and how closely they monitor my daily internet rituals, but I do have a few gems to share... Just last week, I was on www.forever21.com, window shopped, stored items in my cart and checked out all under 13 minutes. Pretty impressive, I must say.
But guess what?
I tried to log on today, and I have been web sensed. The nerve! pffft. I'll just blog instead. And tell you how wonderful it feels to be alive. Why? well...
First, it is perhaps the most beautiful day of the year here so far. I’m hoping that those of you who are close by can celebrate spring in whatever way suits you. Walking your dog, licking salt from a margarita on the waterfront, having a picnic lunch over looking the bay on brickell, driving with the windows down and a most embarrassing tune on CD. This is weather that reminds us we’re alive, not just surviving. I hope you’re able to stop all mind machinery long enough to enjoy it. Even in traffic.
Second, a friend has done the unthinkable, signing on for a real-life romantic comedy role of dramatic proportions, by marching right up to a faraway crush with a note of interest. That’s right. An old fashioned inked note, right there on paper, one that balanced desired outcomes with a hint of flirtation. And? It worked. It worked to a degree I can’t capture in this wee post, a connection made involving phone conversations until dawn and the anticipation not even of tomorrow, but the next hour. Completely unexpected and even more beautiful because it was so. This friend is over the moon.
Cheers to this beautiful life and having the balls to take it on.
